Charles Ross & Son Co. (Hauppauge, NY) is now offering a laboratory Paddle Blender with advanced manufacturing features for more convenient and automated powder blending and liquid spray functionality. The new features include a pneumatic powder charging port and a liquid delivery spray system. The company says that these new features provide batch-to-batch consistency.
The blender is a 1 cu ft. device constructed of stainless steel and powered by a 1 HP totally enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) motor. In addition to the new features, the blender offers full vacuum capability. The blender also features touchscreen PLC recipe controls, which are housed inside a Nema 4X stainless steel enclosure, which allows for both indoor and outdoor use.
Charles Ross adds that any of its blenders can also be supplied with an interchangeable ribbon agitator. Both the paddle and ribbon agitators are ideal for use in dry solid-solid mixes, but can easily accommodate minor liquid additions, as well.
