Kosher-certified enzymes are now part of the Biocatalysts (Bensenville, IL) lineup. The company was recently certified by Manchester Beth Din, enabling it to manufacture kosher enzymes without a Rabbi present. The certification extends to Biocatalysts’ new enzyme production plant.
The company also produces halal and vegetarian enzymes. More than 50% of the company’s standard products can be produced halal.
Biocatalysts says the new certification meets growing demand for kosher ingredients.
