Nature’s Power Nutraceuticals (NP Nutra; Gardena, CA) has introduced four new products, including a pesticide-free moringa (Moringa oleifera) ingredient. The company, which manufactures and supplies botanical ingredients for functional foods, is adding an organic moringa leaf powder to its existing line of Nutra Organics products. In addition to moringa leaf powder, it is launching organic cayenne powder, organic grape juice powder, and oregano leaf P.E. 5:1.
The company says that moringa is a “nutrition powerhouse” that contains antioxidant compounds such as quercetin and chlorogenic acid. It is said to promote energy and endurance. Thomas Walton, founder and CEO, NP Nutra, said in a press release that, until now, previous moringa products the company tested failed to meet the company’s pesticide-testing standards. The new addition to the company’s product range is now “100% certified organic” and “chemical and pesticide free,” he said.
Cayenne powder is said to be rich in capsaicin, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, potassium, and manganese, says the company. Grape juice powder is rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, and oregano leaf contains vitamins A, C, E, B6, and K, and the minerals iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and omega-3s. NP Nutra’s product range includes Nutra Pure (freeze-dried fruit and vegetable powders), supergreens, Nutra Flow (dispersible beverage ingredients), botanical extracts, superfruits, raw foods, Nutra Ayurveda, and Nuta Pet, among others.
