Nutralliance (Yorba Linda, CA) has announced plans to expand on the market for non-soy tocopherol ingredients with the launch of RavEtol, a vitamin E ingredient derived from rapeseed (Brassica napus) oil.
Compared to vitamin E derived from soy, rapeseed offers vitamin E with a similar tocopherol value but a higher alpha content, says Nutralliance. To the best of the company’s knowledge, RavEtol is the only rapeseed-derived vitamin E ingredient on the North American market.
The new RavEtol joins Nutralliance’s existing line of non-GMO vitamin E products, including alpha tocopherol, mixed tocopherols, and plant sterols, which are available in the United States in collaboration with Advanced Organic Materials (AOM; Argentina).
“We are very proud of our entire natural, non-GMO E line with AOM, but the addition of RavEtol has us more excited than ever about the advantage we’re able to offer our customers,” said Brian Salerno, president and CEO, Nutralliance. “Clean labeling is a key consideration for formulators and product developers–particularly when it comes to natural non-GMO and non-soy ingredients.”
RaveEtol is available in oil and powder formulas, says Nutralliance.
