Following the European Commision’s recent approval of stevia for use in foods and beverages, Vitiva (Markovci, Slovenia) has announced that it will be a player in the global supply for the all-natural, zero-calorie sweetener.
Vitiva says its Sweetn’Vit brand is standardized for a minimum 95^ steviol glycosides. The ingredient holds U.S. GRAS status and is compliant with current European Commission legislation.
“The Sweet’nVit line has an exceptional taste profile and can be used as a solo sweetener; in combination with bulk natural sweeteners such as erythritol and maltitol; or in combination with sucrose to offer optimal taste and mouthfeel,” said Vitiva CEO Ohad Cohen.
Vitiva will market its stevia sweetener throughout Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, and South America.
