At this year’s Natural Products Expo West trade show, the U.S.-China Health Products Association (USCHPA) will host its annual seminar covering China’s dietary supplements market. The "China Dietary Supplement Market Insights" seminar will cover such topics as market and consumer trends, social media, e-commerce, quality assurance, and more.
The seminar will be held on March 8, 2018, from 9:00am to 11:00am PST at the Anaheim Marriott in Platinum Ballroom 5. The organization notes that the seminar is free and open to all attendees of the show.
The agenda for this year’s seminar includes six speakers from China Gate Counseling, USCHPA, Informa, Neilsen Group, NSF International, and SF Express. In addition to the key topics covered, the seminar will also include information regarding the new SupplySide China expo show, which is scheduled to take place this year in Guangzhou, China, from June 28-30.
In a press statement announcing the seminar, Jeff Crowther, executive director, USCHPA, noted that attendance for the event has increased significantly since USCHPA first hosted the event in 2011. He added that the growth “coincides with the increased interest in China’s supplement industry.”
He continued: “I’ve been living in China since 2005 and in that time I’ve seen first-hand China’s rise as a dominate player in the world of supplements. Not only is China a major destination for sourcing ingredients for supplements, but it is now a major market for the sales of finished supplements. Although it is a difficult market, it’s not one to be ignored. It’s the association’s hope that the seminar will encourage small and medium sized players to investigate the [market’s] potential.”
