The U.S.-China Health Products Association (USCHPA) will be hosting two sports nutrition events in Shanghai next month. The events-a summit and a free educational seminar-will focus on various aspects of China’s “exploding” fitness and sports nutrition industry, including consumer awareness and industry and market trends, among other topics.
USCHPA is teaming up with sponsors Glanbia Nutritionals (Carlsbad, CA) and GNC to host the annual China International Sports Nutrition Industry Summit on September 6 at the Regal International East Asia Hotel. The all-day event will feature 11 industry experts covering such topics as regulations, consumer trends, an overview of China’s fitness industry, cross-border e-commerce, ingredient and product news, and insights into China’s market.
As USCHPA notes, China’s sports nutrition market is growing rapidly-roughly 20% per year. According to USCHPA, “the summit is a great opportunity for networking with international and domestic industry leaders.” USCHPA encourages finished product companies, manufacturers, distributors, and anyone interested in this “quickly expanding sector of the supplements industry” to attend the event.
In addition to the summit, USCHPA says that Reed Sinopharm and Fibo China, the “premier expo for fitness and sports nutrition” in China, will be hosting a three-hour seminar focused on increasing consumer education about fitness ingredients and products. This seminar will take place on September 7 at Fibo China Expo Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing in room 3M3. Some of the companies scheduled to present at this seminar include Aker BioMarine, AlzChem, BodyLogix, Glanbia, GNC and TSI Group.
Registration information is available on the association’s website. Interested parties can also contact the association directly at summit@uschinahpa.org.
