Informa Markets (Phoenix, AR) has announced that, in light of the continued COVID-19 pandemic, SupplySide West and Food Ingredients North America, scheduled for October 27-30, 2020 in Las Vegas, would be cancelled.
“We have been in close communication with our partners, customers and audience to ensure we meet their needs and expectations,” said Marisa Finnegan, show director, in a press release. "Even with guidance from Informa’s AllSecure health and safety guidelines, and the re-opening of Mandalay Bay in recent weeks, our community responded to personal outreach and an industry survey by making it clear that while they value the show, many would not be able to come due to safety concerns or travel restrictions."
In lieu of the live event, SupplySide is launching a virtual platform called SupplySide Network 365 to facilitate safe networking opportunities. “As we look to support the growth of the health and nutrition industry, it is evident that new thinking is required to facilitate connections, provide opportunities for discovery, and showcase innovation across the supply chain,” said Danica Cullins, brand director, SupplySide, in a press release. “SupplySide Network 365 will offer a seamless year-round opportunity to develop new relationships, dig into thematic areas of interest, and much more. Stay tuned for more information and updates in the coming weeks.”
