The site includes a selection of Suanfarma’s branded ingredients, botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals, specialty ingredients, and organic options in 1 kg and 5 kg quantities.
Suanfarma (Madrid, Spain) launched a new e-commerce site that allows flexible and direct sourcing of nutraceutical ingredients in smaller quantities, called NutraSmallPacks.com. The site includes a selection of Suanfarma’s branded ingredients, botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals, specialty ingredients, and organic options.
On the e-commerce website, ingredients are generally available in 1 kg or 5 kg quantities, though some ingredients might be sold in 100 g quantities if they are expensive ingredients that requires minimal dosages. Visitors can search for specific ingredients or search for ingredients based on health benefits or other categories. In addition, each ingredient profile includes detailed information for its use, source, dosage, and supporting scientific studies.
By offering access to ingredients in smaller quantities, Suanfarma is increasing access to customers that may not otherwise have the capital to buy commercial quantities of nutraceutical ingredients, allowing buyers to have more flexibility to experiment when it comes to the research and development of finished products. NutraSmallPacks also gives Suanfarma access to a wider range of customers in a continually growing industry, leaving the door open for the purchase of commercial quantities down the line.
“We just understand that this industry is powered by ideas. Ideas come from everywhere, so the more people we can reach, the better,” said Sean McElroy, sales director for Suanfarma to Nutritional Outlook.
The website, which is straightforward and intuitive, offers customers greater independence when purchasing raw materials, but still offers customer service to those who need it. “What sets us apart is that personalized service,” said Daniela Patania, business development manager for Suanfarma. “If you’re halfway [through your purchase] and you have a question, we have a chat bot that’s live. There’s an actual person behind the chat bot, it’s not automatic, which is really nice.”
We’ve all become accustomed to the convenience of e-commerce, but with automation, getting a live person to handle any questions or problems can be difficult. NutraSmallPacks balances the modern conveniences of e-commerce with the attentive customer service that is expected of quality distribution companies to create a seamless experience for customers.
