Spartan Nutrition partners with Taiyo International

Spartan Nutrition, the nutritional supplement line of the Spartan Race, has partnered with Taiyo International as part of an effort by Spartan Race founder and CEO Joe De Sena to refresh the supplement line. With the partnership, Taiyo will take the lead on Spartan Nutrition’s product formulation, production, certification, and distribution on a global scale.

“A key benefit to partnering with Taiyo is not needing to worry about sourcing and validating our formulas. Taiyo manufactures the majority of the quality ingredients in the Spartan Nutrition line,” says De Sena, in a press release. “Plus, Taiyo’s research-based ingredients deliver measurable functional benefits that Spartans are looking for. Taiyo provides us with the highest quality ingredients and global regulatory support, ensuring our products are compliant and ready for anything.”Taiyo and Spartan are next launching in Japan, and in Europe later this year.

The new line-up of Spartan Nutrition includes Spartan Energy, Spartan Focus, Spartan Hydrate, Spartan Immune and Spartan Burn, which are based on key ingredients such as Raw Coffee Powder, Suntheanine, Teavigo, SunCran and ElderMune. These products will each be sold at Spartan.com, Spartan events, Amazon and select retailers.

Spartan Nutrition products will now carry both Informed Ingredient and Informed Sport certifications. Informed Ingredient certification ensures that each ingredient batch is tested for the presence of contaminants or high-risk materials. Informed Sport confirms that finished products sold at retail are also free of contamination and impurities. Informed Sport certification is accepted by Amazon as a quality certification program in the U.S. This marks the first time an ingredient supplier has sought both certifications.
