NuW organizers announced the winners of the NuW Excellence Awards, which were presented on November 13 at the Health Ingredients Europe trade show, following judging by a panel led by awards chairman Peter Wennstrom, president of The Health Marketing Team. The awards recognize individuals and businesses for their exemplary work and contribution to the industry.
Wennstrom said this year's entries reflected the new regulatory landscape in Europe. “We've seen the number of entries fall slightly as a result of the regulatory climate, and that's why we're happy to reward those companies who have the courage to move into areas of early science and where there are regulatory barriers,” he noted.
“For next year’s Marketing and Positioning Award, I want to encourage companies to enter innovative use of the new EFSA regulation,” he added. “And especially creative use of the Article 13.1 generic claims!"
