Nutralliance (Yorba Linda, CA) has signed an agreement with Eggnovo (Navarro, Spain) to represent and market the company’s Ovoderm and Ovomet ingredients in the U.S. The primary focus of the ingredients is their use as a vegetarian collagen. Eggnovo’s specializes in functional ingredients derived from chicken eggshells that can be used in the nutraceutical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical industries.
According to Eggnovo, Ovoderm is the only vegetarian collagen ingredient researched to promote skin health by improving barrier function to reduce visible signs of aging. Its patented Ovomet is a natural matrix of active substances such as elastin, collagen I, V and X, chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid and glucosamine plus 400 proteins.
