Flavorchem Corporation (Downers Grove, IL) says its natural vanilla extract enhancers can be a good solution for formulators dealing with the volatility of the vanilla market. In recent, years, global volatility in the vanilla sector due to a supply-demand imbalance caused prices to soar. While the market has stabilized slightly, and this year’s crop was of a high quality, newly planted vanilla takes years to mature to the production stage, meaning it will also take years for balance in the market to be restored. In the meantime, flavor and color manufacturers are trying to mind solutions that conserve vanilla and reduce costs for finished product manufacturers.
Natural vanilla extract enhancers contain real vanilla, and can be used to stimulate, replace, or enhance the performance of pure vanilla extract to offer an authentic taste while providing consistent quality and stability in supply.
“Consumer demand for the authentic taste of pure vanilla extract continues to increase. Our vanilla enhancers allow our customers to achieve their desired taste profile while stabilizing cost,” said Jim Hamernik, Flavorchem director of research and development, in a press release.
