The WFP is an initiative aimed at fighting global hunger by improving the production and marketing capacity of local growers and manufacturers.
Kemin Industries (Des Moines, IA) has announced that it will continue working with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to provide the group with technology and guidance relating to food safety and quality.
The WFP is an initiative aimed at fighting global hunger by improving the production and marketing capacity of local growers and manufacturers. Under a five-year partnership, Kemin will help the WFP train staff to evaluate quality and safety of food products and food handlers (i.e. suppliers, producers, and processors). Kemin will also assess the shelf life qualities of foods used under the WFP.
A formal agreement between Kemin and the WFP was finalized in late January at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
