Ingredients by Nature (Montclair, CA), a company specializing in citrus bioflavonoids, alfalfa concentrates, and yucca extracts, recently launched a new line of citrus bioflavonoids, Brewster Brand Citrus Bioflavonoids. The company says that its citrus bioflavonoids, which are available in powder and granulated compression format, provide broad bioflavonoid profiles.
The extracts in the Brewster Citrus Bioflavonoid line are purportedly derived from multiple citrus sources, including orange, lemon, lime, tangerine, and grapefruit, which each contributes a unique bioflavonoid profile and can be used in a variety of applications. The bioflavonoids are also suspendable in liquid and help serve as natural preservatives, which the company says makes them ideal for use in food and beverage formulations.
In a press statement from the company, Robert Brewster, president, Ingredients by Nature, commented on the launch: “Brewster, along with our strategic partner Syntech International, pioneered made-to-order, customized bioflavonoids, and helped to define the citrus extract industry. Today, Ingredients by Nature continues that tradition as a global leader in custom citrus bioflavonoid formulations.”
The company notes that citrus bioflavonoids are said to deliver various health-support benefits, and can also function as “synergistic nutrients” for vitamin C. In addition, it says, the Brewster brand bioflavonoids are “formulated to total ORAC FN value, measuring specific antioxidant activity against the most influential free radicals naturally found in the human body.”
