The Wright Group will serve up several innovative concepts at this year’s show. One of them is a protein-based bar designed for post-workout recovery. The chocolate- and peanut butter–flavored prototype contains the company’s SuperBlend premix that includes CoQ10, branched-chain amino acids for easy absorption by muscle tissue, as well as other vitamins and minerals.
Omega-3 is also on the menu. The company will roll out two, unique, ready-to-drink omega-3 beverages in chocolate and strawberry. For trail mix fans, the company will provide samples of its Trail Mix Fruit Bar fortified with SuperCoat omega-3 and SuperCoat Bake Stable vitamin C. Using The Wright Group’s proprietary microencapsulation process, manufacturers can offer consumers the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, as well as vitamin C, without the “off” tastes usually associated with these nutrients.
Finally, what better place than Chicago at which to serve pizza? The company’s whole-grain pizzas were a hit at past IFT shows, and this show will be no exception. This turnkey product solution is easily adaptable to school lunch programs and child-nutrition profiles. Each pizza crust is fortified with SuperCoat omega-3 and SuperCoat vitamin C, as well as a host of vitamins and minerals, making this pie the most nutritious in town.
