The Global Retail and Manufacturer Alliance (GRMA) named two new board members, Holly Korteway from Perrigo and Jeff Brams from Garden of Life.
The Global Retail and Manufacturer Alliance (GRMA) named two new board members, Holly Korteway from Perrigo and Jeff Brams from Garden of Life. Korteway will also serve on the GRMA Technical Committee, and Brams will chair the soon-to-launch GRMA Scientific Review Committee.
“We are excited to have Holly and Jeff join the Board of Directors,” said GRMA board director Norma Jean Despain in a press release. “Their expertise and knowledge in this space will continue to strengthen and advance the harmonization of quality and safety standards for the Health & Wellness category.”
Korteway has almost 30 years of experience and is currently responsible for customer and contract quality programs group within Perrigo Company. “I’m honored to serve on GRMA’s board and represent Perrigo, a supporter of GRMA’s mission since the organization’s infancy,” she said in a press release. “Perrigo is committed to product quality and consumer safety and [is] aligned with GRMA’s goal to improve GMP compliance and consistency through the development of unified publicly accredited standards.”
Brams has over 25 years of expertise and is currently the general counsel and vice president of research & development and regulatory at Garden of Life. “The credibility that the publicly accredited GMP standards and GRMA’s certification can bring to an industry is remarkable,” he said. “Garden of Life is looking to support the GRMA’s newest harmonization efforts and are excited to start working with retailers, manufacturing, certifiers, public health, and others in the industry on product integrity testing requirements for dietary supplements.”
