In a March 17, 2025 press release1, Fungi Perfecti, LLC announced its new line of capsule-based supplements, MycoBenefits. The four new blends are a mushroom mycelium foundation with a combination of herbs, vitamins, and minerals to provide support for specific wellness goals.
"Our customers have been asking for multi-ingredient products to support their wellness needs,” stated Betsy Bullman, vice president of sales and marketing, in the press release. “With this in mind, we knew that pairing mycelium with carefully selected botanicals, vitamins, and minerals to create unique formulas would be a great way to offer daily support. We're excited to see how MycoBenefits helps people incorporate the power of mushroom mycelium into their wellness routines in a way that's both easy and effective."
Fungi Perfecti, a Certified B Corporation, are the makers of Host Defense Mushrooms. The mycelium is grown sustainably on a Washington State farm and third-party tested for safety and quality, the press release noted.
This line is in addition to the previously launched2 BrainPower Stack, which combined Lion’s Mane mushroom with Niacin (B3 as nicotinic acid) and Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin). Introduced in October 2024, the blend is intended to provide brain support and nerve generative activity.
“This formula is an important step in developing mycelium-based support for brain health,” stated mycologist Paul Stamets, founder of Fungi Perfecti and developer of BrainPower Stack. “So much research has been done on Lion's Mane in relation to memory, cognition, and mental clarity, that combining it with isolates known to support the development and generation of neuropathways was a 'no-brainer.' This formula is intended for those seeking to gain mental clarity, find new focus, and charge their mental battery.”
BrainPower Stack is also described as having a mild flavor profile and can be added to drinks, smoothies, or food recipes.
