The new service has a dedicated team of product experts that takes a brand through the entire product development process.
Flavorchem (Downers Grove, IL) has announced the addition of a new turnkey beverage development service called The Bench. The new service has a dedicated team of product experts that takes a brand through the entire product development process, from custom product idea to commercialization and launch. The company notes in a press release that the R&D team involved has over 50 years of experience across a range of food and beverage categories, including coffee, tea, functional drinks, and alcoholic beverages. The Bench also includes a regulatory and quality control department to support projects that need to meet FDA regulations, such as functional beverages that contain dietary supplement ingredients and carry claims.
“Companies can work with us on new product development or reformulate and optimize an existing product. They can take advantage of our full-service flavor team, so unlike other product development companies who are utilizing off the shelf samples in their formulation, we create custom flavors to go into the beverages we create based on the unique needs of our client’s product. From concept to commercialization, we are ready and excited to help customers with everything they need to be launch-ready,” said Lisa Mayer, customer success manager, in a press release.
Qualified customers can also utilize Flavorchem’s fully automated pilot plant to make samples that can be used to show investors, potential buyers and distributors. The Bench even offers co-packer selection to scale up production runs, sensory evaluations, brand consulting, and product ideation.
