Divi's Nutraceuticals and Algalif launch AstaBead, concentrated astaxanthin beadlets
Algalif provides highly concentrated premium astaxanthin oleoresin naturally sourced from microalgae, and Divi’s expertise in fat-soluble ingredient formulation allows them to transform the oleoresin into the highly concentrated beadlets.

Algalif (Reykjanesbaer, Iceland) and Divi's Nutraceuticals (Basel, Switzerland) have partnered to develop highly concentrated beadlets of sustainable natural astaxanthin. Algalif provides highly concentrated premium astaxanthin oleoresin naturally sourced from microalgae, and Divi’s expertise in fat-soluble ingredient formulation allows them to transform the oleoresin into the highly concentrated beadlets called AstaBead, which contain 5% astaxanthin.
AstaBead comes in two forms. One form enables the production of tablets by direct compression without oil extrusion or discoloration. It can also be used in hard-gelatin capsules and nutrition bars. The second form is a fast-dispersing astaxathin that benefits from Divi’s innovative CaroQuik formulation. This makes it suitable for fortified powdered beverages.
