Effective through 2013, C.K. Foods will continue to market and sell Cyvex’s complete library of antioxidant and nutraceutical ingredients derived from fruit, vegetable, and botanical sources. This includes the GRAS-approved BioVin full-spectrum grape extract for cardiovascular support; Alfapro agglomerated green protein concentrate for nutritional beverage mixes; and Cognisetin, a new mental acuity ingredient for use in dietary supplements.
“Cyvex has been highly patient with us, as they understand that Canadian natural health product regulations are among the strictest in the world,” added Michael Chernyak, president and CEO of CK Nutritional Ingredients. “This [deal] has afforded us the necessary time to prove that Canada is a lucrative market if approached with a long-term mindset.”
