The Council for Responsible Nutrition has hired Jeff Ventura as its vice president of communications.
The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN; Washington, DC) has hired Jeff Ventura as its vice president of communications. Ventura’s past experience includes positions at the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and at private companies like CVS Health.
At HHS, Ventura held communication directorship roles at the National Institutes of Health and at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While at FDA, he served as senior advisor in the commissioner’s office. Other roles included director of communications at CVS Health and spokesperson for both Johns Hopkins Medicine and Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
In a press release, Steve Mister, CRN’s president and CEO, stated, “Jeff understands the health and wellness space and how to communicate effectively within a regulated industry. He brings to the role his expertise as a strategic leader, coupled with a deep and expansive understanding of scientific communications, and the role of both industry and government regarding a wide array of public health issues.”
