Wendy Lucas, formerly Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for all four brands in the Country Life, LLC (Hauppauge, NY) portfolio, has been promoted to the position of president and COO.
In her former role as chief sales and marketing officer, she led the following Country Life brands: Country Life Vitamins, Desert Essence, Biochem, and Iron Tek. In 2008, she served as vice president of marketing for the Desert Essence brand. Lucas sits on the Executive Committee and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2015.
In a press release from Country Life, the company stated that “Lucas has been a driving force in the company’s success.” Since joining the company in 2008, it explained, “she doubled the net sales of Desert Essence and grew Country Life well ahead of industry growth. She launched over 100 new products, including several multi- million-dollar items. Lucas also championed the B-Corp certification, as well as support of the ‘Because I am a Girl’ charity.”
