The product features Clasado’s flagship Bimuno GOS prebiotic ingredient.
Clasado Biosciences (Berkshire, UK) has launched a new product for children’s immune health in its direct-to-consumer (D2C) product range. The new Bimuno Kids Immunity supplement features the company’s flagship Bimuno galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) prebiotic ingredient.
The product is described as a “4-in-1 blend featuring prebiotic Bimuno GOS to support a more favorable gut microbiome and fortified with essential vitamins and a mineral to help support children’s immune systems,” a press release states. These include vitamins C and D3, as well as zinc.
The product is a soluble fiber packaged in individual sachets designed to be easy for parents to add to children’s daily diets.
“The prebiotic nourishes bifidobacteria, a ‘good bacteria’ found in the gut microbiome associated with supporting health in areas such as gut and immune function,” said Per Rehne, CEO of Clasado Biosciences, in the press release. “All being well from birth, we start life with Bifidobacterium being one of the predominant genera in the gut microbiome, and abundance can decline as we age. As such, supplementation with prebiotics is a great way to nourish and maintain these important microbes.”
