Nutrition 21’s (Purchase, NY) chromium picolinate ingredient, known commercially as Chromax, will now be featured in dietary supplements supplier Irwin Naturals’ Green Tea Fat Burner Red. Fat Burner Red is a weight-management beverage formulated with green tea extract (Camellia sinensis) and caffeine.
According to Nutrition 21, Chromax is a patented form of chromium picolinate that stands out from other forms of dietary chromium because of its stable chemical structure and “superior absorption.” The company adds that Chromax has also been clinically studied for its safety and efficacy in supporting healthy glucose levels and weight management.
Todd Spear, executive director of sales, Nutrition 21, commented on the new formulation in a press release from the company. “We are excited to announce that Chromax will be featured in Irwin Naturals’ new Green Tea Fat Burner Red,” he said. “Irwin Naturals holds a high standard for product quality, and we share with them that standard. Consumers looking to enhance their weight management routine should look for this terrific new product, as well as the Chromax trademark or logo on the products they are using to help support their overall weight-loss goals.”
Added Elijah McCarthy, ND, product innovation and wellness ambassador, Irwin Naturals: “Our consumers rely on us to deliver formulations that are not only composed of the most authentic ingredients available, but most importantly, they must be effective for their intended purpose in our formulations. Chromax checks all of the boxes in this regard. Not only is the safety of Chromax well established, but its superior absorption makes it one of the most efficacious chromium products in the market.”
Chromax’s benefits for weight management, cognitive function, mood, and healthy glucose metabolism are supported by 35 human clinical studies, as well as 35 non-rejected Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) health claims, says Nutrition 21. Chromax is also affirmed FDA Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) at “clinically substantiated doses.”
