Cargill (Wayzata, MN) received a 2010 bronze Effie Award in the new product and services category for its marketing campaign for Truvia Stevia rebaudiana sweetener. The Effie Awards honor marketing campaigns that contribute to brand success, including television, print, and online advertising.
“We were a new product opening the brand-new category of zero-calorie natural sweeteners,” said Zanna McFerson, assistant vice president of Cargill Health & Nutrition and business director for Truvia.
“The simplicity of the message of Truvia natural sweetener contributed to the success of the marketing campaign,” added Ann Clark Tucker, director of marketing and communications for Truvia. “Since the story of Truvia natural sweetener from the leaf of the stevia plant is authentic, it resonates with consumers.”
