Bioiberica (Barcelona, Spain) launched two branded ingredients, DAOgest and Dermial, a digestive enzyme and a skin & beauty ingredient, respectively.
DAOgest is a digestive-health supplement ingredient thatdelivers the diamine oxidase (DAO) enzyme to improve histamine digestion.
“Histamine intolerance affects an estimated 1-3% of the global population, causing them to experience allergy-like symptoms after consuming histamine rich foods,” said Jaume Reguant, healthcare director at Bioiberica, in a press release. A natural extract, the solution can provide an immediate effect at a low dose of 4.2 mg/serving.
Dermialis a hyaluronic acid matrix ingredient that combines three naturally occurring components: hyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycans (including dermatan and chondroitin sulfate),and hydrolysed collagen that nourish, hydrate, and replenish the skin. Research shows the ingredient offers superior results when compared to microbial fermentation origin hyaluronic acid, including increased in vitro production of type I collagen by 48%. The matrix ingredient is easy to formulate at a low daily dose (60 mg) and exhibits excellent organoleptic properties.
