Bio-Cat Inc. has announced a partnership with Caldic North America, to distribute Bio-Cat’s branded probiotic strains, such as Optifeed to the companion animal health and nutrition market in North America.

(Troy, VA) has announced a partnership with Caldic North America (Mississauga, ON, Canada), to distribute Bio-Cat’s branded probiotic strains, such as Optifeed to the companion animal health and nutrition market in North America. According to the company’s press release, the agreement “secures a rapid go-to-market strategy for Bio-Cat, leveraging Caldic's leadership position in the companion animal market as a provider of value-add antioxidant, vitamin, mineral, and ingredient solutions.”
Optifeed is produced by Bio-Cat Microbials, in Shakopee, MN, in a vertically integrated, FDA-registered, and SQF-certified U.S. fermentation facility. The AAFCO-listed probiotic strains in Optifeed are designed to support the gastrointestinal health of companion animals. Bio-Cat also states that the Optifeed line will expand to enzymes in the future to further enhance the digestive health benefits and nutritional value of pet foods, with potential use in ingredient processing and flavor development.
