BI (Rancho Dominguez, CA) has added a Hemp Soft Extract to its newly released line of full spectrum hemp ingredients, which will be showcased at SupplySide West 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. The soft extract is manufactured and tested in SQF certified, FSMA, and cGMP compliant facilities, and like all BI ingredients, undergoes stringent quality analysis which includes testing for heavy metals, pesticides, as well as the company’s Identilok species identification process with DNA verification. The soft extract also undergoes BI’s Protexx HP Green Steam sterilization, a species-specific organic sterilization method with a validated kill step.
“The new hemp soft extract is an oily semi solid with the highest cannabinoid content available in BI’s current product line. It is a dewaxed full spectrum extract, including the entire cannabinoid profile, with a THC limit <0.3%,” explained Mike Wagner, food science engineer for BI to Nutritional Outlook. “It also retains a portion of the terpenes present in the starting material. It delivers a high potency and maintains the advantages of the so called ‘entourage effect’ in a familiar format for liquid applications.”
The Hemp Soft Extract expands BI’s existing hemp lineup to include applications such as soft gels and tinctures.
