Contract testing lab Alkemist Labs (Garden Grove, CA) will educate attendees of this year’s SupplySide West trade show about the benefits, challenges, and intricacies of nutraceutical testing. During SupplySide West, company representatives will be on hand to answer questions about reference standards, fit-for-purpose test methods for specific finished products, which botanicals are at highest risk of adulteration, and how companies can enhance their testing regimes.
The company will also introduce its new laboratory director, Toto Phoutthavantha, PhD, MSc, CLS (ASCP). Phoutthavantha has more than 14 years of experience in analytical laboratory testing in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. “We are very excited to have Toto join the Alkemist team,” said Alkemist Labs CEO, Elan Sudberg, in a press release. “His experience is an excellent fit with our strategy for the future. With our demonstrated fundamental strengths in botanical testing and the complementary experience that Toto brings from the clinical diagnostic and cannabis industries, Alkemist will continue to be at the forefront of innovation as the industry evolves.”
