On June 19, the US-China Health Products Association will hold its annual China International Nutrition and Health Industry Summit in Shanghai. The event, which will follow the Healthplex Nutraceutical China (HNC) Expo, hosted by United Business Media (UBM), is part of an ongoing series of conferences and seminars covering sports nutrition, probiotics, and omega-3s.
Specifically, the summit will cover such topics as regulations for finished dietary supplements and ingredients, foods for special medical purposes, advertising and e-commerce insights, new information on probiotics from the International Probiotics Association, and news on omega-3s from the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED).
In addition, the summit will explore the effects of the 2015 China Food and Safety Law, which prompted new draft regulations for the health food product industry-some of which are still in the implementation phase. As China’s supplements industry continues to grow (its market is second only to the United States at $41 billion), the conference provides manufacturers and marketers a forum to discuss new trends in this ever-growing market.
