The company says it was especially important to offer organic options, “with the explosive demand for organic dietary options ever increasing.”
Dietary fiber and cleansing brand Yerba Prima has introduced two new products to help consumers support their digestive and overall health: OrganicPsyllium Caps (capsules) and Whole Husks (flakes that “are easy to drink”). These products offer shoppers “an economical way to promote regularity, heart health, weight control, and blood sugar balance,” the brand says.
The company says it was especially important to offer organic options, “with the explosive demand for organic dietary options ever increasing.” The products are also certified gluten-free.
Compared to stimulant laxatives, psyllium husks are gentler and not “habit forming,” the company says. The firm promotes the value of psyllium for supporting digestive health: “For anyone with irregularity, including those on a low carb or gluten free diet prone to not getting enough fiber, doctors often recommend psyllium husks to provide extra fiber in their daily intake. On contact with water, psyllium seed husk thickens into a gel-like substance. This acts like a broom to sweep waste from the colon, so it does not get reabsorbed through the colon wall back into the bloodstream to recirculate in the body.” Psyllium also protects the colon lining by cleaning out “pockets” in the colon that accumulate “toxic waste material,” the brand says. It may also support heart health by way of helping to maintain healthy LDL and HDL cholesterol levels, as well as weight management (via satiety) and blood sugar management.
