The probiotic drink manufacturer has launched a stevia-sweetened, reduced-calorie version of its product.
Yakult has introduced a reduced-calorie version of its signature probiotic drink, Yakult. Yakult Light offers 30 calories instead of 50 and a sugar reduction thanks to sweetening with Reb A from stevia. It will be naturally sweetened and flavored and available in distinct new packaging.
Yakult is manufactured with the patented probiotic strain Lactobacillus casei Shirota. A recent study published in the British Journal of Medicine found that the ingredient significantly increased natural killer (NK) cell activity compared to placebo in male smokers.
