WIN will also host a networking event at Vitafoods Europe.
Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN), the nonprofit organization advocating for gender parity in the nutraceuticals industry and led by a group of global nutraceutical industry leaders, will host numerous events at the Vitafoods Europe trade show taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, on May 9-12.
Notably, the group will share new benchmark data on gender representation in the nutraceutical industry’s C-suite and leadership positions. On Tuesday, May 9, at 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Vitafoods Insights Theatre (H70), Heather Granato, cofounder and president of WIN, who is also vice president of partnerships and sustainability, Food EMEA, at Informa Markets, will present the new data, which stems from a survey conducted by NEXT Data & Insights and funded by Informa Markets, which is a WIN Platinum Sponsor. Granato will also provide insight on how the nutraceutical-industry survey results compare to gender-representation performance in other industries. Most importantly, she will discuss “how together, the industry can achieve gender equality through equity and allyship,” the group’s press release states.
WIN will also host a “Gender Equity in Nutraceuticals” networking event on Tuesday, May 9, at 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. It will take place in the Sustainability Resource Center (E280). Granato and Marie Tutein Brenøe, head of marketing, brand, and culture at Novozymes OneHealth, a WIN Gold Sponsor, will make welcome comments at the event.
In the press release, Brenøe said, “Novozymes OneHealth is pleased to sponsor both Women In Nutraceuticals and this networking event. In Denmark, where we’re headquartered, gender parity has existed in society and business for quite a while, so we see its benefits firsthand every day. In Novozymes OneHealth 65% of our employees are women that everyday rethink tomorrow in human health. WIN’s gender parity mission is part of our mission to help people live healthier and better lives, it’s good for business, and theentire nutraceuticals industry and planet will benefit from a diverse workplace.”
Finally, on May 10, Granato and Lynda Doyle, WIN’s cofounder and board secretary as well as CEO of Avant Nutrition LLC, will be guests at a Women’s Networking Lunch to speak at/moderate a panel discussion about women in STEM. This event is already sold out.
“Last year’s Vitafoods Europe afforded Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN) the opportunity to initially launch our intentions around achieving gender equity in the nutraceutical industry,” Granato said in the press release. “It’s been an amazing year, and having the opportunity to not only release the findings of the gender representation survey but also to gather our community of committed women and men to celebrate what we’ve accomplished and think about our future makes me quite grateful.”
