Whole Health Rx launches GLP-1 supplement line to counter side effects of the weight loss drugs

In a March 31, 2025, press release, Whole Health Rx by the The Vitamin Shoppe announced their new supplement line for those using GLP-1 medications for weight loss. The supplements are intended to provide various support across five categories: protein, fiber, probiotics, multivitamins, and comprehensive nutrition.

"GLP-1 users face specific nutritional challenges and finding products tailored to these needs can be challenging," stated Tabitha Daley, a registered dietitian nutritionist with The Vitamin Shoppe, in the press release. "Our goal was to create an accessible, science-backed system that fills essential nutrient gaps, while also helping individuals feel their best throughout their weight-loss journey by addressing nutrition-related issues that are associated with GLP-1 drugs." Daley helped formulate the GLP-1 Support supplements along with the Whole Health Rx Medical Advisory Council.

In this new line of supplements, the GLP-1 Support Nutrient Powder is intended to help maintain muscle mass and support digestion while replacing nutrients lost due to decreased food intake. The powder contains 25 g of protein, 24 essential vitamins and minerals, digestive enzymes, fiber, and a serving of Truserv greens by FutureCeuticals.

Similarly, the GLP-1 Support Protein is formulated to support muscle mass and also skin health. It contains 30 g of whey protein and 5 g of collagen along with myHMB by TSI Group and PeptiStrong by Nuritas, which are ingredients to preserve muscle.

Additionally, GLP-1 Support Fiber focuses on supporting digestion and contains 15 g of fiber, antioxidants from NatureKnit fruit and vegetable fiber by FutureCeuticals, Inavea acacia fiber by Nexira, and Fibersol-2 by ADM/Matsutani LLC, which increases GLP-1 activity.

A second supplement for gut health, the GLP-1 Support Synbiotic combines PreForPro prebiotic by ADM, HOWARU Shape probiotic by DuPont, and ButyraGen postbiotic by NutriScience. This supplement is also intended to support immune health and promote the production of the bacteria Akkermansia, which is connected with metabolic health and weight management.

The fifth supplement in this line, GLP-1 Support Multivitamins, provides nutrients for energy and metabolism, along with brain, heart, and immune health. It also contains Suntheanine by NutriScience for stress support, ginger for occasional nausea, and both men’s and women’s formulas are available.
