CNBC reports that Walgreens will begin selling CBD creams, patches, and sprays in 1,500 stores located in Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont, South Carolina, Illinois, and Indiana. This news comes only days after its competition CVS was reported to have struck an agreement with CuraLeaf to sell its CBD creams, sprays, and lotions in stores. Walgreens has not disclosed which brands it will stock, but like CVS, it is declining to stock CBD supplements or functional foods, choosing instead topical products that are less risky from a regulatory standpoint.
