Waleria’s plant-based, non-hormonal ingredient, the Shatavari root extract aspurūs, supports reducing menopausal symptoms.
Waleria Healthtech Private Limited has announced that it will be exhibiting at SupplySide West 2024, taking place on October 30-31st in Las Vegas, NV. The company focuses on women’s health solutions, namely a Shatavari root extract called aspurūs, which is its flagship ingredient. Shatavari root extract is traditionally known for its adaptogenic properties in Ayurvedic Medicine.
The company's branded Shatavari root has been subject to clinical research demonstrating its benefits. In a study published earlier this year in Cureus - Journal of Medical Sciences1, aspurūs was shown to help alleviate several symptoms of menopause including hot flashes and sleep quality. In the double-blind, multicenter, randomized controlled trial, 70 women received either the supplement or a placebo for eight weeks. Results showed that women taking the extract experienced a significant improvement in their quality of life, based on the Utian Quality of Life Scale, as well as significantly fewer symptoms, with reductions in night sweats, night flashes, anxiousness, fatigue, sleeplessness, mood swings, and urinary incontinence.
“We are excited to showcase aspurūs at SupplySide West and showcase its potential for improving the well-being of women experiencing symptoms during different stages of menopause,” said Komal Baldwa, founder of Waleria, in a press release. “Backed by clinical research for substantiated health benefits and now new foundational research for hormonal support, our traditional ayurvedic ingredient aligns with the growing demand for plant-based wellness products for innovative formulation in the women’s health category.”
