Vitamin Shoppe is now stocking hemp-derived CBD soft-gels from Irwin Naturals. CVS and Walgreens recently announced that they will be stocking topical products that contain CBD, but declined to stock foods and dietary supplements with CBD, citing concerns about its regulatory status. This move sets Vitamin Shoppe apart from the major pharmacy chains.
By the end of the month, the supplement retailer will also stock Garden of Life Dr. Formulated Broad Spectrum CBD Extract soft gels and liquid drops. The products will be available in stores in 14 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Vitamin Shoppe has already been selling hemp extract essential oils nationwide, and have been getting a lot of customer demand for hemp-derived CBD products that are ingestible.
