A total of 15,251 attendees in the nutraceutical industry from 130 countries attended the event. The tradeshow floor hosted 700 exhibitors, including 100 first-time exhibitors and return companies.
Vitafoods Europe 2022 successfully concluded on May 13, both its online and in-person event held in Geneva. A total of 15,251 attendees in the nutraceutical industry from 130 countries attended the event. The tradeshow floor hosted 700 exhibitors, including 100 first-time exhibitors and return companies such as Kemin, Lonza Capsules & Health Ingredients, DSM Nutritional Products to name a few.
“We’ve worked hard to make this the best edition of the show yet to help both visitors and exhibitors spring back to business,” said Julien Bonvallet, brand director at Informa Markets, in a press release. “We continue to evolve Vitafoods Europe as one of our flagship events, to not only reflect key industry topics and trends but also visitor feedback.”
Based on attendee feedback, Informa Markets added more networking events and hosted popular staples such as the Community Breakfast and 5K run, Bonvallet said. And responding to a call for more diverse voices in the agenda, Informa Markets also added a wider range of speakers and companies to the agenda—from doctors, scientists, and R&D professionals to regulatory bodies, manufacturers, and research organizations.
Both the online and in-person events presented more than 90 hours of insightful content from key contributors such as Innova Market Insights, Mintel, FMCG Gurus, NMI, and more on topics such as mental wellbeing and personalized nutrition, and on ingredients such as omega-3s and probiotics.
“Connecting back with industry peers and meeting new faces in Geneva has been superb—this is what makes Vitafoods a key event for nutraceuticals professionals,” Bonvallet said. “We’re delighted to be back at our usual May timings in Geneva, too; there was a real buzz and energy around the showfloor which was wonderful to see. As ever, thank you to all our visitors, exhibitors, and speakers this year, as well as our on-site team and facilitators!”
