The Laboratory PowerMix, Model PD-2, is designed for viscous materials that require both slow- and high-speed agitation. The new design features an automated tilting mix vessel and a self-contained control panel. It combines a slow-speed planetary stirrer with a conventional high-speed disperser. Both agitators revolve on their own axis, while at the same time on a common axis. The high-speed blade provides an internal shearing action, while the planetary stirrer continually moves material into the high-speed blade. Charles Ross and Son Co.
