Tahini, a paste made from ground sesame seeds, is a rich source of phosphorous, manganese, thiamine, and vitamin B6. The paste may also have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties because 50% of its fat comes from monounsaturated fatty acids and it contains antioxidants called lignans that fight free radicals.
