Muscle Milk’s new Evolve protein shake has launched featuring BASF’s Tonalin conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
BASF (Florham Park, NJ) announced an exciting new partnership with CytoSport’s Muscle Milk brand. Muscle Milk’s new Evolve protein shake has launched featuring BASF’s Tonalin conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). Tonalin CLA, a polyunsaturated conjugated fatty acid, has been clinically proven to reduce body fat by up to 10%, while maintaining lean body mass and preventing fat regain. The Milk Muscle Evolve beverage is a 110-cal protein shake. Each serving provides 12 g of protein and 1.5 g of CLA. Consumers should consume two servings per day to receive a total daily CLA dose of 3 g-a dosage that BASF says science supports for the greatest benefits. The beverage is sweetened with stevia, cane sugar, and monk fruit and provides 20 vitamins and minerals and an excellent source of fiber. It is gluten- and lactose-free. The drink is available in five flavors: chocolate, vanilla crème, strawberry, mixed berry, and café latte.
"Tonalin CLA is backed with research and is proven to be safe and efficacious," says CytoSport CMO Nikki Brown. "It not only helps enhance our shakes, but it also provides Evolve with an advantage over other beverage options."
In addition to providing samples of Evolve at the show, BASF showcased other delectable prototypes as part of its Think Newtrition portfolio: “O” MegaBite omega-3 crackers; a Cool at Heart beverage containing Vegapure plant sterols, and vitamins E and A; a Tonalin beverage shot; Multi Bears gummy vitamins containing vitamins A, B, D, E, and K; and Ace of Hearts gummies touting Vegapure plant sterols.
