Superesse, an enriched yeast ingredient with S-adenosylmethionine (SAM-e) from Gnosis SpA (Desio, Italy), can now carry a joint-health claim in Japan. “For regulatory purposes, nutraceuticals in Japan are heavily regulated, so achieving a health claim in Japan is extremely hard,” said Paulo Malesani, commercial director of Gnosis Group. “But that confirms that Superesse’s outstanding nutritional value has been recognized for the improvement of joint wrongness.”
