Ingredients distributor Stauber says Pharmline will become its “manufacturing arm.”
Stauber Performance Ingredients Inc. (Fullerton, CA) has acquired Pharmline Inc. (Florida, NY) from Gadot Biochemical Industries Ltd. (Haifa Bay, Israel). Stauber made the acquisition together with equity sponsor ICV Partners.
Stauber, an ingredients distributor for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and supplement industries, says that Pharmline will become its “manufacturing arm.” Among other skills, Pharmline specializes in granulation, toll compaction, premixes, triturations, custom blends, and microencapsulation.
“For many years, we have outsourced the majority of our manufacturing and processing, and while we will continue to do so for some of our business, the establishment of Pharmline as our manufacturing arm is a pivotal step to our future as we endeavor to become a complete ‘solution provider’ to our growing customer base,” stated Stauber’s CEO Dan Stauber.
“By becoming part of Stauber, we can bring the strength of our top brands and years of processing experience, quality, and know-how, and match them together with Stauber’s strong team, professional approach, and reach to the market,” added Olivier Guiot, president of Pharmline. “The beauty of the situation is that when Dan and I first started discussing possible scenarios between our two companies, there was relatively little overlap or conflict, the combined revenues would be in excess of $100 million, and both sides had an abundance of product development projects in the works.”
