SPINS (Chicago) has announced the acquisition of The Data Council (Irvine, CA) from Advantage Solutions Inc. (Clayton, MO). The Data Council is a content management platform that combines e-commerce and marketing in the CPG industry. According to the company’s press release, the combination of The Data Council’s content capture, management and syndication capabilities with SPINS’ product intelligence and attribution engine will provide retailers and their partners a single verifiable source of information, as well as more complete content management ecosystem.
