The company’s branded ingredients NooGandha ashwagandha extract, MitoHeal redcurrant and blackcurrant extract, NordicCherry tart cherry extract, and AlphaFen fenugreek extract are now non-GMO certified.
Ingredient supplier Specnova LLC (Tysons Corner, VA) has gained Non-GMO Project Verified status for several of its branded ingredients. Those ingredients include NooGandha ashwagandha extract, MitoHeal redcurrant and blackcurrant extract, NordicCherry tart cherry extract, and AlphaFen fenugreek extract.
The company also touts its ingredients as very bioavailable thanks to the use of LipoVantage liposomal technology. “Specnova’s next-generation ingredients provide superior bioavailability, solubility, and stability in the body, providing consumers with two to three times more bioavailability,” said Sebastian Balcombe, company founder and CEO, in a press release. “Our unique delivery system technologies and multistage validation ensure superior ingredients that improve and protect human health—enhancing nature’s potency and ensuring the consumer receives optimal benefits.”
According to the firm, the clinically studied ingredient “NooGandha contains higher total withanolide levels via validated USP-HPLC method than competitors’ at 3.5%-4% total ashwagandha withanolides. MitoHeal is designed for beauty-from-within products, with clinical research showing it can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve facial brown spots, improve skin coarseness, support a healthy stress response, and support a healthy mood and quality of sleep."
NordicCherry is deemed “the world’s most bioactive, full-spectrum, whole-fruit tart cherry extract” and supports muscle and joint health. “NordicCherry offers an industry-leading concentration of active polyphenol compounds that is 4 to 40 times greater than the leading tart charry powder.”
Finally, AlphaFen is a novel fenugreek seed extract produced using Specnova’s proprietary production technologies in order to retain the richness of bioactive sapogenins and saponins. Clinical studies show the ability to support male sexual health; hormone balance, including testosterone and estrogen; as well as strength, mood, and sleep.
