Solvay Aroma Performance (Princeton, NJ), supplier of vanillin and ethyl-vanillin ingredients, will discuss its expanded Vanifolia portfolio of flavor solutions, including those focusing on masking off notes in high-protein and plant-protein products, at SupplySide West.
“As consumer interest in high-protein dietary products increases worldwide, new protein varieties continue to emerge, with plant-based options, such as pea protein, particularly popular,” the company says in a press release. “However, the success of new or reformulated plant-based protein products largely depends on overcoming significant taste and texture challenges.”
