The company's soy ingredient line provides several options for incorporating low-glycemic soy protein into health foods.
Solbar Industries Ltd. (Ashdod, Israel) will emphasize weight management opportunities with soy at this year’s VitaFoods show in Geneva, Switzerland.
“Many studies show that high protein meals are more satisfying than high-carbohydrate or high-fat meals when based on measures of satiety,” said a recent Solbar press release. “Protein intake, together with exercise, has been clearly proven to improve lean mass retention and a lean body overall.”
Solbar’s soy ingredient line provides several options for incorporating low-glycemic soy protein into health food products. Solbar Q741 is a low-viscosity soy isolate with suitable properties for shakes and meals. Solbar Q813 is a hydrolyzed, low-viscosity protein isolate for various bar formats. Contex 100 and Contex 500 are ground-textured and flake-textured soy protein concentrates that can provide texture or crispiness to bars.
