NuTraditions, a new retail product company created by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal ingredients supplier Nuherbs (San Leandro, CA), is coming out the gate with two innovative products—sleep strips and energizing coffee pods—guided by the company founders’ longstanding industry expertise. The new retail company, NuTraditions, will debut at the Natural Products Expo West trade show in Anaheim, CA, in March, at Booth #3583.
Hello Dreams are individually wrapped sleep strips containing melatonin and a TCM herbal blend trademarked Calm Down. The minty herbal strips are designed to melt on the tongue and act quickly to help consumers fall asleep quicker, sleep better, and awaken restored.
The Good Morning Sunshine coffee pods, available in either a fair-trade Colombian or Guatemalan blend, are infused with “a potent dose” of organic red ginseng extract, an adaptogen shown to fight fatigue and support the immune system. The recyclable pods, made from 75%-postconsumer waste, are Keurig brewer-compatible pods. The company says each BPA-free pod delivers a precise, effective dose of the red ginseng extract.
NuTraditions is the brain child of Wilson Lau, vice president of Nuherbs. Lau is the third generation of the family-owned company Nuherbs, a leading importer of Chinese herbs that sources TCM herbs sustainably from longtime partner farmers and wildcrafters in China and worldwide. The company says its “unique extraction customization capability” allowed it to create the NuTraditions products in small-yet-potent delivery formats.
“Life is stressful, especially now, and people are anxious. They can’t sleep, which is why this supplement product category is growing exponentially,” said founder Lau in a press release. “There are dozens of sleep supplements on the market, with a common complaint: the difference isn’t noticeable. While market-leader melatonin helps people fall asleep, many people wake up an hour or two later. Convenient Hello Dreams utilizes melatonin to help people quickly fall asleep. The TCM herbs then help them sleep well and longer, so they can face the day ahead rested.”
