P.L. Thomas is the exclusive North American distributor of Satiereal saffron extract.
INO’Réal (Plérin, France) has secured a Canadian patent (# CA 2648985) for its Satiereal saffron extract, according to the ingredient’s North American distributor P.L. Thomas (Morristown, NJ).
A proprietary extract of saffron stigmas, Satiereal reportedly enhances the activity of serotonin, which may influence satiety, appetite, mood, and behavior relating to snacking. A patent in France and a worldwide patent per the Patent Cooperation Treaty already back the extract. P.L. Thomas says Satiereal is the only saffron-based ingredient clinically shown to support satiety, with results in human trials demonstrating reduced body weight, and decreased appetite and cravings with the ingredient.
Satiereal is GRAS-approved and is featured in numerous satiety products, including Fem-Body Appetite Control 100 capsules and gums, Re-Body Hunger Chews, and Hunger Caps.
